Admissions Briefing for Prospective Parents

Admissions Briefing

In recent times, the rising standards of education have led parents to have higher expectations  for their children, especially in their elementary and secondary studies, with the aim of securing a brighter future for them. Regardless of whether students attend private or public schools, all institutions must adhere to Taiwan’s Ministry of Education’s curriculum, which limits their ability to tailor education to each student’s unique academic needs and progress.

For Prospective Parents

Bilingual Education Struggles

Even when schools offer “bilingual” courses, they typically only provide a limited number of English- speaking classes and lack a fully immersive English environment. Consequently,  students often find it necessary to seek additional tutoring after school to advance their language skills. Despite these efforts, many face challenges when applying to universities, whether domestically or abroad, after graduating from high school. This situation raises  concerns  for  parents,  who  are  left wondering whether their children’s future will be marked by stagnation or if they will need to  passively wait for a clear path to emerge.

LUYA Educational Foundation is a legitimate International School for our Elementary and Secondary young learners – LUYA Academy.

Immersive Education for Global Leaders

One of our core missions is to cultivate “well-rounded global leaders with boundless futures.” We implement an all-day immersive English speaking, international environment – Aside from our Chinese classes, students are required to converse in English during class, when presenting research and reports, in their written work, and during breaks and downtime. The following classes are all taught in English; Math, Science, Social Studies, English Language Arts, Performing Arts, Music, Art, and Health and Life Education, whilst nourishing independent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Additionally, we also offer Spanish, STEAM, Computer Science, and Sports classes. Rest assured, we also put weight in the importance of Chinese Mandarin subjects; Chinese,  Math, Science, and Social Studies are taught  by our highly qualified Chinese department, so that students can also continue studies at a national level, allowing them the option of continuing their tertiary education in Taiwan at a competing standard.
